Our History
Everett “Speedy” Hoyle started Hoyle Plumbing from the home he shared with his wife Ruby and their three sons Fred, Everett Jr., and Robert, in 1955. Using his own truck, he worked hard and grew the business – adding trucks and employees along the way. In 1957 he moved into his first building located in Lawndale. In 1960, Everett decided to move the business into Shelby, NC so the business could continue to grow. Hoyle Plumbing flourished. In 1966 Hoyle Plumbing moved to 1661 S. Lafayette St. Shelby, NC. where it is still located today. Through countless hours of hard work put in by Speedy, Ruby, Fred, Everett Jr, Robert, and many, many employees through the years Hoyle Plumbing became the company that everyone could trust and rely on for quality service and fair prices.
Owned and operated by the third generation of the Hoyle Family and Mark Rullman, Hoyle Plumbing still operates with the same spirit with which the company began, hard work, respect, fairness, and just getting the job done. Maintaining their small business family-owned feel while still being able to handle any plumbing project from the construction of new commercial buildings to changing a washer on a faucet, if you need a plumber, Hoyle Plumbing is here for you.
